OVERTIME

Support personnel who are eligible for overtime compensation shall be paid overtime pay for approved work beyond forty (40) hours per week. Any overtime pay earned by an eligible employee shall be at a rate of one and one-half (1½) the employee's regular hourly rate of pay. The immediate supervisor shall have the authority to allow an employee up to five (5) hours of overtime work per month. Beyond that limit, any overtime work (hours worked beyond forty (40) in one week) shall be approved by the Superintendent or designee prior to the work being performed, except in emergencies.

Eligible employees are defined as those employees who have been classified as non-exempt for purposes of overtime compensation in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. Exempt employees shall be those employees who are listed on the Board's management index salary scale.
