Welcome to the S.L.O.E. library page. I hope that this page will help to keep you informed of what is happening in the library and with Accelerated Reading. Let me know of additional information that you would like to see on our site.
Our K-1 students are currently working on their B.E.A.R. (Be Eager and Read) logs. When a student has completed a log, they should turn it in to their teacher and get another log. Remember, 1 completed log earns a trip to "Fun Day." Two or more completed logs earn extra treats.
Our second grade students are learning how to take AR tests. As an incentive, if the students earns two AR points per grading period, he/she may attend "Fun Day." If the students doubles this amount (four or more), he/she will receive additional treats, plus earn a pass to wear blue jeans on one Friday of their choice. If 45 or more points on or before April 29, 2009, he/she will be awarded a field trip.
Our third-fifth grade students must complete AR requirements as a part of their reading grades. If the students meets the requirements, he/she will attend "Fun Day." Students who double the required number of points will receive a pass to wear blue jeans on one Friday of their choice. Field trip for 3rd grade students earning a total of 60 or more, 4th grade students 75 or more, and 5th grade students 90 or more points on or before April 21, 2009.
